Electrochemical profiling and LC-MS characterization of synthetic cathinones: from methodology to detection in forensic samples

The emergence of new psychoactive drugs in the market demands rapid and accurate tools for the on-site classification of illegal and legal compounds with similar structures.

In a new article prepared by our colleagues from the AXES group of the University of Antwerp and the National Institute of Criminalistics and Criminology (NICC), which can be found here, a novel method for the classification of synthetic cathinones (SC) is presented based on their electrochemical profile.

Hope you find it interesting!
